Description
Love the reflection in the mill pond! Edwin Mabry built this mill in 1910 and operated it until 1936, when the Blue Ridge Parkway was built nearby (milepost 176.1). The National Park Service restored the mill in 1945 for the visitors to the Parkway. It is, perhaps, the most photographed site on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Mabry Mill tied for 3rd place in the fineartamerica contest "Black and White" out of 408 images submitted in April 2023.
