Description
The reconstructed slave cabins at the Berkeley Plantation in Charles City, Virginia. These cabins were used in the filming of the movie "Harriet" about the life of Harriet Tubman. Harriet was a former slave and abolitionist that made some 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people using the Underground Railroad. It is a humbling experience to compare the opulence of the Berkeley Plantation manor house with the interiors of these simple one room cabins.
