Description
A railroad first steamed into Cookeville, Tennessee on the Nasheville to Knoxville Railroad in 1890. The Tennesse Central bought the railroad in 1902 and built this unique depot with the pagoda design. At its peak, six mixed trains a day stopped at this depot with both freight and passengers. The depot has been restored and now serves as a museum to the Tennessee Central Railroad.
