Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The Southern 4501, a Mikado type 2-8-2 locomotive at full steam and ready for the trip to Summerville, Georgia from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Built in 1911 by the Baldwin Locomotive works, she is the sole survivor of hundreds of similar locomotives used by the Southern Railway until converting to diesel in the late 1940's. Southern 4501 is used today for routine excursions from the Grand Junction Depot in Chattanooga, Tennessee by the Tennesse Valley Railroad.
